Editorial policy: how we research and update

Sticker Printer Hub is written by an independent editorial team with no ties to any printer brand. This page explains where our facts come from, how we check them and how to report a mistake.

Who writes this site

Every guide, comparison, calculator and template on Sticker Printer Hub is researched, written and kept up to date by the Sticker Printer Hub editorial team. We publish as a team, so pages carry a team byline rather than personal names.

We are independent: Sticker Printer Hub is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Cricut, Liene or Canon. Product names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe what works with what (see the disclaimer).

How we choose sources

Every spec, price and claim links to where it came from. We use sources in this order:

  1. The maker’s own pages: product and shop pages, technical specifications, manuals and help centre articles from Cricut, Liene and Canon. When a maker publishes a figure, we use it rather than a reviewer’s.
  2. Retailer listings, when the maker doesn’t show a price we can read (for example, the Canon SELPHY CP1500 price comes from a Best Buy listing).
  3. Reputable independent reviews and press coverage, only for details the makers don’t publish, and always named as that reviewer’s or publication’s statement.

The troubleshooting page also lists a few problems owners have posted in forums. They are labelled “Forum user reports (not official fixes)” and are never presented as the maker’s advice.

Each page ends with a Sources list, and tables have numbered footnotes; both show the date we accessed every source. If no source publishes something, such as the printable area of a StickerPix sticker sheet, we write “Not published” or “Unknown” instead of guessing.

How we check prices and specs

  • When we update a page, we re-check the prices and specs it quotes against their sources, and a re-checked source shows the new access date.
  • Every article shows a “Last updated” date under its title. It is the date of the page’s last content change, and the same date is in the page’s structured data and our sitemap.
  • The Black Friday tracker gives every row its own “Checked” date and lists only offers a maker or retailer has published.
  • We don’t re-check every page on a fixed schedule, so use the dates to judge how fresh a figure is. Prices change often: always check the retailer before you buy.

What “our calculation” means

Some figures are our own arithmetic on published numbers, such as a refill’s price divided by its sheet count ($42.99 ÷ 72 ≈ $0.60 per sheet). These are labelled “our calculation” and show the inputs, so you can check them. Stickers-per-sheet and cost-per-sticker tables come from the same grid maths as our sheet maker and are labelled as illustrative arithmetic, not measured costs. The calculators use the same published prices.

Why our pages are not hands-on reviews

We have not used these printers ourselves, so we don’t describe print quality, cutting accuracy or how long stickers last. Our comparisons and picks say they are based on published specs and prices, not hands-on testing. If we ever try a printer, the page will say exactly what we did and when.

Our buying guide and comparisons pick the best printer for a particular use. We don’t give scores, star ratings or one overall ranking, and a pick can change when specs or prices change.

Our sticker sheet templates and illustrations are original artwork made with our own code. The few product photos are manufacturer press images, credited on the disclaimer page.

Corrections

If you spot a mistake or an out-of-date price, email hello@stickerprinterhub.com with the page and, if you can, a link to the source. We check it against the source. If we got it wrong, we fix the page and its “Last updated” date changes; when a correction changes a price, a spec or a pick, the page says what changed and when.

Questions and feedback

Missing a printer, a supply or a question you need answered? Email hello@stickerprinterhub.com or use the contact page. We read every message, and we don’t sell or share your email.

Independence and conflicts of interest

There are no affiliate links, sponsored posts or paid placements on this site. We may join the Liene affiliate programme or Amazon Associates later. If we do, the disclosure will appear on the affected pages in the same update that adds the links, and the affiliate disclosure will say so. Affiliate links would not change our picks, which stay based on published, sourced specs and prices.

Privacy

The sheet maker works on your device and never uploads your images. How we use analytics is explained in our privacy policy.
